Assistant Director, Communication Ministry Group/Rethink Church

Basic Purpose

Assists Director of Communications and Brand Strategy with planning and implementing strategies related to Rethink Church brand management and communications.  Assists Director with media planning, metrics and tracking.  Develops, and/or oversees development of, copy, advertising, and creative materials for the internal audience to complement the campaign.  Oversees Rethink Church product development (i.e., multimedia and marketing bundles, promotional items).  As needed, manages contractors to extend the reach and scope of communications ministries. Assists the Director by serving as a liaison to interpret and promote resources for church leaders across the denomination. Provides leadership for the team and for special projects as assigned.  Serves as a representative for Communication Ministry Group at events and conferences as needed.

The JCPA’s Washington office leads JCPA’s federal advocacy efforts across all issue sets, national communications strategy, and our Confronting Poverty program.  Position: The Program Associate is responsible for supporting the Washington programmatic including Confronting Poverty national events, online organizing, , consulting with local affiliates and providing resources to increase field participation in the campaign. The position is located in the Washington DC office of the JCPA reports directly to the Vice President and Washington Director and work in close collaboration with the Program Manager, Confronting Poverty
