Meet Lia Koroi

The Ethnic Young Adult (EYA) internship program is concluding at the end of this week. We are going to highlight interns throughout the week to help give you a glimpse into the summer program.

Meet Lia Koroi from the California-Nevada Annual Conference and studying at Carrington College CA.

Lia was placed at National Religious Campaign Against Torture this summer. Her internship took her all around Washington, DC. She participated in congressional meetings and White House demonstrations urging President Obama to close Guantanamo Bay.

Living and learning together with 12 interns from different cultural and spiritual backgrounds has been a new experience for Lia - one that has strengthen her views of the world. "I am more respectful and considerate of other people."
